Processor - Where everything it does is executed.
Active Memory - Everything that passes through the processor is temporarily stored.
Storage - Everything it keeps for long term storage.
Input System - How it get new information, from humans or another device
Output System - Display or print system.
Each of these has hundreds of options and many vendors. It can be a challenge just to buy a single laptop that fits your needs.
